Custom Facebook pages

Facebook is an ideal and cost-effective platform for informal conversation and discussion, and is the perfect place to centralise any promotional campaigns that lend themselves to community participation.

You can create a custom landing tab within your FaceBook page which can be fully branded and customised to suit your promotional needs. This tab can be configured as your default landing page, effectively making it an entry homepage for your FaceBook profile. Customising FaceBook pages uses HTML and FBML (their own flavour of HTML).

The following graphic is a custom Facebook landing page that we created for the National Contemporary Art Award. It presents the graphic identity of the event and the key promotional messaging. In addition it has an email signup feature where visitors that sign up are seamlessly and automatically added to the email marketing profile that we set up in EmailMarketer™, Bold Horizon’s professional mailing system.

The custom page also allows for specific promotional activity. In the case of the Art Award they are running an iPod Touch promotion to encourage online conversation within their Facebook profile.
