I get a lot of calls from companies frustrated that their websites aren't appearing in the top Google search results (SERPS). There are usually some very good reasons for this, mainly that their targetted pages are not designed, written or optimised to perform in Google.
About 3 weeks ago I created a new page on our website to recommend some really great marketing books that I have read. My primary intention wasn't to get this page high up in Google results but I did optimise the page as I do for all pages on our site.
When I checked one of my targeted keyphrases "books by gladwell" I was pleased, but not surprised to find my targeted page at #3 on page one!

You see folks, achieving a good result in Google isn't luck, nor is it black magic. There are formulas and strategies that, if followed and implemented effectively, will get pages to present high up in the SERP's.
If you want to read more on this enticing subject, here is a useful page from our website on search engine optimisation.
